There’s an old saying: If you find yourself standing in a deep hole with a shovel in your hands, stop digging. Yet when it comes to our rapid weight loss, most of us dig ourselves a little deeper into the hole every single day.

In this video we’ll explore 6 bad-habits that may be keeping most people from losing that weight and keeping it off.

1.Skipping Breakfast
It can be hard to make time for breakfast during the rush to get out the door in the morning, but if you're trying to lose weight or keep it off, make the extra effort to fit it in. Breakfast kick-starts your metabolism, forcing it to begin burning calories.
Your first meal of the day should include proteins, a small portion of a healthy fat food, and combined complex carbohydrates.

2.Consuming Sugary Drinks: 
Sugary drinks like soft drinks, which contain a high amount of added sugar or other artificial sweeteners are the major contributor to the obesity epidemic in the world. People who consume sugary drinks do not feel full when compared with the same amount of calories consumed in the form of solids. Try to drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday instead. Consuming water helps flush away body toxins. and maintain your body weight.


3.Eating too quickly.
A busy life and working schedule force us to eat faster. There are days when we don’t even have time to sit still and spend a few minutes eating peacefully. It is said that it takes almost 20-minutes for the stomach to inform the brain that it is full. Thus, it is important that we eat slowly and take at least 20-minutes to have a meal. This will aid in better digestion too. Follow the rule that says a single bite should be chewed a minimum of 20-times.

4.You Avoid All Fats
You know that eating trans fats can increase your risk of heart disease, weight gain and stroke, so you’re smart to stay away. But not all fats need to make your “do not eat” list. Consuming healthy fats like flax-seeds, Avocado, and nuts can actually help you slim down and stay healthy. Fats not only help us absorb many of the vitamins from our diets, but they also help keep us fuller longer, which can aid weight loss efforts.

5.Eating before going to bed
Most likely, we eat late at night because it’s a habit – not because we are hungry. If you were to keep track of all you ate at bedtime for one week, you may notice a pattern. You may be consuming something sweet and high in calories. If you feel you must eat something, select a piece of fruit.


6.Sleeping poorly
Keeping a set sleep schedule should enhance your sleep. If you don’t have any set time to go to bed, your body’s chemistry may get out of synch. 
This creates hormonal imbalances that trick you into believing you will only be satisfied if you eat.

Zero calorie foods for weight loss. What does that even mean? Do I have to eat salad all day every!? Absolutely not!
What makes a food “zero calories?”
The theory of zero calorie foods is that the body will burn more calories metabolizing and cooking the food than the calories the food contains.
This is a process called thermogenesis, and it’s how your body heats itself up.
So it doesn’t mean that the food literally contains ZERO calories. It does contain some calories, but the body burns off more calories eating and digesting the food than the food itself contains

Cool, right?
So make sure you add more of these foods to your diet any chance you get!  They will keep you away from calories and still fill you up.

Onions have many uses beyond flavoring dishes in the kitchen. For centuries they have been used for a wide variety of treatments, and are particularly useful in treating a number of health issues and concerns.
Their antimicrobial and antiseptic properties make them a great alternative to antibiotics and other pharmaceuticals, especially for common ailments like ear infections and small wounds. Like the equally powerful garlic, onions are a member of the allium family.
They’re also a good source of fiber, calcium, phosphorous, potassium, vitamin C, vitamin B6, sulfur, antioxidants, and flavonoids.
Thanks to these nutrients and more, onions can play a crucial role in fighting major health issues, including diabetes, asthma, and cardiovascular disease.
Here are popular home remedies that utilize the healing benefits of onions:
1. Ear Infections
To cure ear infections, chop onions finely and tie into a double-layer of cheesecloth. Hold the onion poultice firmly against the affected ear and secure in place using a cloth bandage or snug hat. Keep for up to 12 hours and replace with fresh onions as needed.
2. Fever
Cure the common cold by placing onion slices on the soles of your feet. Secure with plastic wrap and cover with a sock. Keep them on overnight to help draw out toxins through your feet and speed up your healing process.
3. Nausea
Grate a large onion finely and squeeze out the juice by wrapping the grated onion in cheesecloth and pressing firmly. Then, steep a cup of strong peppermint tea and let it cool. Drink 2 teaspoons of the onion juice and wait 5 minutes. Follow up with 2 teaspoons of tea and wait another 5 minutes. Repeat as needed.
Do not eat or drink in between each treatment. Your symptoms should subside within 15-20 minutes.


4. Cough & Bronchitis
Combine finely chopped onions with coconut oil to make a paste. Apply the mixture to your chest, cover with a dishtowel, and secure in place using a cloth bandage. Leave it on overnight and clean up in the morning. This will help expel phlegm from your lungs to shorten the duration of your illness.
You can also use onions to make a cough syrup. All you need to do is peel a large onion and slice in half. Cover the cut side of each half with 1 tablespoon of sugar. Cover with plastic wrap for an hour. Chop the onion and store in a closed container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Take a tablespoon of the mixture twice a day as needed.
5. Colic
Cure infant colic by boiling 4 (1/4-inch) slices yellow onion in 2 cups of water and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes. Let it cool and strain. Feed 4 tablespoons twice a day during a colic attack. If symptoms persist for more than a day, contact your pediatrician immediately.
6. Cuts
Treat a paper cut by covering it with the transparent film of the onion’s skin. Not only will it stop the bleeding, it’ll even prevent infection.

Keep onions on hand at home by storing them in a dark, cool pantry. Store them in paper bags with multiple holes and keep them away from potatoes. They’ll last for up to 3 months!
